How to talk to white people

My first impulse was to dismiss this.

Sara M. Moniuszko consulted the experts.

(Damn.  USA Today is practically clickbait.)

Or did she?  Who really is expert about talking with family and friends about racism?

Oops, excuse me.  I said, “with.”  She said, “to.”

There’s an issue right there.

The bottom line for me is that there’s a need for room for — white people — to be open and candid and honest and heartfelt, as to their own stories of dealing with black people or seeing what black people do; the things some black folk do that make them anxious.

There’s no room for any such thing in this outline.
