o Urgent need — GoFundMe update

I don’t like bringing messages like this, but it also doesn’t pay to be silent.

I’m in a “moment.”  God willing, it will be, and I believe it will be, a moment; but it is what it is.  For the moment, I’m in urgent need.

As of 12:30 Friday 04/29/16, I have $6 cash and some change.  The first $50 GoFundMe raised, has been exhausted; my bank balance is too low for me to be able to use the card.  I will shortly pick up some prescriptions, but not all, as there are a couple $1 co-pays I can’t pay.  The shelter has waived my rent through Monday, but they’re not going to do this forever.

Anything anyone can manage to give at this moment will be most appreciated.

Yesterday I did up the chart below of my weekly expenses.  I would need to present that here eventually anyway, since y’all deserve to know where your donations are going.  With this in hand, now, however, I’m in a position this coming week to talk turkey with a couple individuals who may be willing and able to sustain me — somewhat — ongoing.WEEKLY EXPENSES Shelter rent$3.00/day × 7 days/week$21.00Bus fare$1.70 × ~8 trips/week$12.00Coffee (DD and McD)(Tuesdays only)$ 7.00Prescription co-pays$5.00/month$ 1.25Miscellaneous~$1.00/day$ 7.00TOTAL$48.25

“Shelter rent” includes breakfast and supper.  I can’t call it “room and board,” because one cannot leave anything of one’s own at the shelter during the day.  But as I have remarked before, they feed us so well at this place it becomes a disincentive to leave.

“Miscellaneous” includes things like candy, pens, and disposable underwear.

I’m not going to “beef up” those figures, as there’s no point in asking for more than I actually spend.

I intend to post weekly updates on successes in job search.

I am grateful for all your support!
