I didn’t approve of the firing of Wendy Bell, and I wouldn’t approve of the firing of Jesse Williams, either.

The verdicts don’t discredit the demonstrations, nor (in and of themselves) do they discredit the charges.
Had these things not gone to trial, we never would have had the findings of fact.
We literally would never have had a verdict.
Riots, on the other hand, are never justified under any circumstances.
